I choose love. I'd rather live disgraced and with someone I'm very much in love with than live with my dignity intact with someone that I have to spend my life convincing myself that I love, when I really don't.

Finding love without dignity is a paradox. If you get love and lose your dignity, you then would not be happy with just the love you found. In other words the answer is no, dont do it. You have to live with your self-worth for the rest of your life,
and your may have more than one loves which will bring you happiness. You cannot deeply love someone you lightly know, and if that person is willing for you to lose the precious quality of dignity then he does not truly love you.

It depends on whether it's my pride that's being sacrificed, or my self-respect. If I did something stupid that put my relationship at risk, but my pride didn't want to let me apologize, then I'd sacrifice my pride, because my pride is not as important as the person I love. If I had to become someone that I don't like or do things that I found repugnant - well, someone who would ask me to do that doesn't really love me back.

Pride always comes first, anyway why the hell would you ever need to sacrifice pride? How could you love someone who makes you feel ashamed?
