That will work my friend, best way to increase vertical is to have your toes at the end of a step and do toe raises that way.

the excersises you are doing will slightly help your vert (maybe an inch) BUT you need to jump in order to jump higher. Practice steping off a bench or chair and landing with 2 feet then the minute you touch the ground jump up as high as u can...limit your floor time to almost nothing(like hot potatoe but on the floor)
Also try jump squats...do a squat the explode up to a tuck jump. When you land go right into another squat then back up again...continue this as if its all one big step.

Like Flash said you need to practice jumping. I would string a rope about 2 feet high and jump with feet together from side to side. Work your reps up.

You may also want to get a two foot tall wooden box and jump from the ground up to the top of it then jump back down. You may also jump from one side of it althe way over it to get your workoutstarted.

ur doing the right things....also consider doing weights..(leg press and follow it up with box jumps at 24inches) you'll see a big change after you get used to it. it helped me and i have a nice leap. i have my little brother do it...5'8' and can dunk...
