Anyone here like lacrosse and why?

I play it and love it but i don't know many people who do.

I played it when I was growing up in Ontario, all the way through high school. I enjoyed playing because it offered a good combination of speed, skill and toughness - I was never the best player, but it still felt good to get out there and play.

I'll still watch it occasionally, but my interest was definitely more in playing than being a spectator.

I've always wanted to try it. As you said it's a good combination of speed, skill, and toughness but also teamplay. And Whether you like it or not, it does have a lot of similarities to hockey.

The problem is it's not the most accessible sport and I didn't know anyone at high school who played it.

I've never been huge on watching it. But it's a sport that should have more recognition then it's getting.

i play lax and i love it too. my towns really big on in about half my school plays for my school (6 teams-and its a middle school!) and alot more play for the county league. i love lax cuz its fun and theres a lot of running.(depending on what position u play) also i just love the feel of the laxstick in my hand and catching and throwing and scoring! i'm really competitive.

lacrosse just rocks! i'll be playing in high school nxt year.
ps it bugs the crap out of me when people spell lacrosse wrong. like lacross

i grew up around it and i play it on a high school team. (i'm in eighth grade) i play middie and i love it cuz i like performing and i love the crowds and especially the rush you get when you either score a goal or you completely wreck someone. in my opinion lacrosse is the best sport.
