We have the power in our respective countries to control government but the apathy allows these corporately dominated groups to attain power...we fear that we will lose if we don't follow the plan given us but in reality we lose more in the short and long term...and in the UK and the US and now Canada we lose the lives of our young and our best.

Of course "uniting" is a problem but there has to be a catalyst out there.

Lets go back paper ballots and have them counted in public at district precincts .

Get rid of the electronic voting machines

Don't worry - most of the Middle and Lower class - the Veterans - and the new voters will all be voting for Ron Paul

The problem is that the middle class is not a united front. United under what platform? What would be the middle class's goals? How would you propose bridging the many, many differences between middle class people in blue states and red states? What about the middle class people that are happy with the way things are?

We have the power to do anything if we unite... but deciding what to unite under is nearly impossible in such a diverse and divided environment. Apathy is not the only problem.

They're demanding one this time around because the lunatic RIGHT has pissed everybody off. Most often middle and lower class voters are too busy with multiple jobs to make it to the polls. The privelaged and educated have alot of time on their hands. I predict that working women are going to be the biggest voting block in the 08 election. Go Hillary!!!

We may demand it, but we don't have the money to bring it about. Money is the lifeblood of politics and most people will vote for the person who has the best media presence, not the person who actually stands for the government that would provide them the most benefit, long term.
