I have a linksys wireless router and I would like to be able to connect my USB cup warmer to it. Is this possible? I see there is a USB connection on the router. Can I just plug it in and the cup warmer will pick up an IP address? Basically I want to be able to control it from my wireless laptop in my bedroom. So I can wake up and use the laptop to turn my cup warmer on, and then I will have a nice hot cup of Joe when I head downstairs to my main computer.

USB Cup warmer? ~
Unless that is just a joke, look into X-10 switching equipment.

Your router probably has an smaller house shaped USP plug instead of the flat USP plug. That aside, DON'T DO IT.

USB cup warmers generally just get the power to run the heating element from the USB cable. They are not IP addressable.

That isn't a joke? A USB cup warmer?

erm...ok. Why not use a microwave, a coffee pot, or preferrably a French press for a fresh, hot cup of coffee?
