If I were you, I'd call your doctor immediately. You should be checked out. It could be nothing, but it could be something more serious. I think your doctor would want to know right away.

"Spotting is very light bleeding, similar to what you may have at the very beginning or end of your period. It can vary in color from pink to red to brown (the color of dried blood).

Call your doctor or midwife right away, even if the bleeding seems to have stopped. While it may turn out to be something minor, it could be a sign of a serious problem. You'll probably need an exam to make sure you and your baby are fine and to rule out any complications.

If you're actively bleeding or have severe pain of any kind and can't immediately reach your practitioner, head straight for the emergency room. In the second or third trimester, bleeding or spotting can be a sign of a serious condition such as placenta previa, placental abruption (in which the placenta separates from the uterus), a late miscarriage (between 13 weeks and midpregnancy), or premature labor (between midpregnancy and 37 weeks)."

Hope this helps! Just make sure you monitor the discharge--if it continues to get worse, call your doctor!

That might be your plug and that doesn't mean that your going to go into labor early or anything my friend lost her plug at 30 weeks and didn't go into labor until she was 39 weeks.. If you see more discharge then call the doctor and also if you experience more cramping pain.. Don't worry tooo much you will be ok.. Good luck

It's normal to have some spotting when pregnant. Sometimes "old blood" is brownish in color. I started bleeding late in my pregnancy and the doctor told me a blood vessel had ruptured due to having sex while pregnant. I was able to carry the baby another month after that with no related problems. If you feel that something is wrong, call your ob/gyn.

You need to inform your doctor, sounds like you're loosing your plug and most of the time when you loose your plug, labor is within a couple weeks and considering you're 32 weeks, your doc may want to do something to hold it off for a little longer.

Don't look for definite answers here.. give your doctor a call and explain the situation. I had a similar experience with my son. I was sent home from my job to get off my feet for a few days. Don't take chances, call today.

definately the mucous plug and possibly some light contractions! Sounds like you could be in pre-labor! Get off this site and call your doctor! You'll be holding your baby soon! God Bless!

could be your plug...i had that at 30 weeks and everything was fine...my dr told me that sometimes when the baby is really active and moving around they can rupture a membrane causing light bleeding or spotting....light cramps could just be things stretching as the baby gets bigger or else braxton hicks...if they get worse or if it is stressing you out i would go in...better safe than sorry :)
