My wife and I are taking our children to WDW in December. We have airfare and hotels already lined up, but how much is park entry, park passes etc? Are there any additional costs once you're inside? What is the most cost effective way do do this? Thanks

Believe it or not, this is not a simple question. A one-day, one-park ticket costs $71.36, with tax, for adults. You save if you get multi-day tickets, and you can add-on things like park hopping (multiple parks on the same day) and no expiration. Visit here: http://allearsnet.com/pl/ticket.html for an explanation, and here is a price chart: http://allearsnet.com/pl/ticketchart.html

You will almost definitely want to buy multi-day tickets to save a little money. I know of one legitimate discount ticket seller, and that is at http://www.mapleleaftickets.com

To add to the comments made before:

If you are staying outside the park and your hotel has no shuttle service, parking I believe is $10 a day. If you are staying in the parks you have both free bus service plus the option of driving to the park and not paying the $10.

If sit down meals inside the park are desired, lunch is cheaper than dinner.

Having breakfast items in your room and eating there before leaving is another way to save...

If you plan to do a lot of souvenir shopping, getting all the stuff in one store and having it mailed home might actually be cheaper than walking out of the store with it (the 6 percent sales tax is wiped out for any purchases mailed outside of Florida).

There are four main Disney theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Disney's MGM Studios. A one day, one park ticket is $67 adult, $56 child plus tax. This ticket allows you entry to one park for one day. A Magic Your Way ticket allows you to save more the more you visit. A seven day, one park per day ticket costs $210, which is $30 per park, per day - less than half the cost of a one day ticket! The Park Hopper option allows you to visit more than one park per day, which allows you flexibility to visit one park in the morning, one in the afternoon, and even dine at another park (Epcot has some amazing restaurants, but park admission is required). A seven day Park Hopper pass would be $248, which is under $36 a day and allows you to hop between the parks. Check on www.disneyworld.com under the Tickets & Reservations page for Tickets ONLY and you can see how a Magic Your Way ticket is priced.

The only costs once inside any Disney park are food, souvenirs, and extras (arcades, Frontierland shooting gallery). The most cost effective way to do it is to purchase a Magic Your Way ticket for the length of your stay (if you are there for five days, buy a five day ticket. Ten days, buy a ten day ticket). Some parks close eariler in the summer, so a Park Hopper would be nice if you want to start the day in a park that closes early (6pm) and hop to another park that's open until 10pm. Water parks are not included; admission is seperate. If you are a AAA holder, they have discounts available through their travel office.

DO NOT buy tickets on eBay or on the roadside in Orlando. You have no way to prove if these tickets even have days left on them; you could spend only $25 a ticket a day, but you may be turned away at the turnstiles when you find that there are no days left on the passes. I am not aware of a Costco discount. Mousesavers.com has a list of available discounts. They include the Magic Your Way advance purchase discount (good on at least 4 day ticket), AAA tickets 3-7 days in length are discounted - call your local office to see if they participate, active and retired military and DoD civilian employees get a discount through your local MWR office, and some online ticket discounters. There are not too many reputable ones, but a couple are UndercoverTourist.com and Maple Leaf ticket brokers.

Also check out Mousesavers.com and AllEarsNet.com for more info on the parks and tickets.

Well to enter just one park the tickets are going to be around $72 each for adults and around $62 for children. For the park pass it will be around $125 dollars. Besides the tickets all you need money is for gifts and food. The food is about $8 to $10 per person. I know this since I work in a restuarant in Magic Kingdom.

go through AAA to purchase your park tickets. do not do this through disney, because it is very overpriced and you only get the bare minimum, like just admission into the park. that is all they garuntee you. with AAA you get a very good discount i must say and if it is your 1st time using them when you travel, you also get an additional 10% off the total cost. another great thing about going through AAA is that while you are in the parks in disney you can also get some free things or specialty items for a really low price that are only availible to members if you visit certain places in the park. i would also reccomend for you to get a disney visa, because when you get this you get even more discounts and you also get free or specialty items when you shop. one they have going on now is buy 2 pins in downtown disney get a cast member pin fom 10 years ago that came out of their safe for only $1. if you get discounts like these you will save yourself a good bunch of money and you will enjoy your trip more because you can spend more on other things. have fun, i know you will!!

Two words: Meal Plan.

You're smart enough to post a question so you can probably figure out to find information on the subject by visiting WDW's web site.

Spend your money and go home.

If you can not drive, do not know what a turn signal is, or do not understand the basic fundamentals of tipping your server in a restaraunt stay away.

Your best deals are the park hopper passes, this allows you to go to several of the WDW parks over a period of days, so you can see what you want to and go to the next. Meals and other things, like souvenirs are of course, more. Unless, you do the special things like the private tours, etc., all the rides and experiences are included.

First 2 weeks of December are great. climate is extreme high quality & all of Disney is decked out for the vacations. make certain you're making all dinner reservations as much as six months in enhance. you will see actual snow in Disney till now you may get in without one. I reccommend ingesting interior the park at extra sit down variety eating places. the quickly foodstuff places are purely somewhat extra fee-effective, however the prevalent is amazingly distinctive. I continually plan our food around what parks we can be in on the time (or vise-versa).

I went to Disney World in December 2004. We had a pass that allowed us to enter any of the parks (Animal Kingdom, Magical Kingdom, Epcot, or the other one (can't remember name). Once you are inside you have to pay for your food and souvenirs. Look it up on-line, disneyworld.com I think- they should have options, plus a "vacation planning guide." We also had breakfast with Cinderella, at the castle- reservations were required, and, of course there were additional charges for that.
