OK, personally I think it's easier to have a visual. Check out the link below. I use something more along the lines of sample 3 or 4. You can make the fonts, etc, whatever you want however they should remain simple and easy to read. No frilly stuff! If you don't have much to put, double space. Never make up credits. Use Word or any word processor, copy what's in the samples and then make it your own.

Good luck!

Sart out with your name followed underneath by your phone and e-mail addy. After that list the shows you've been in:
Character - Show - Theatre Name - Director
Follow that by listing your training
and finally special skills.
Don't lie as that may come back and bite you in the ***.
Also, do some student films if there is a college in your area. After that put together a demo reel of 'on camera work'.
Another way is to search for actors on line and look at the way they set up their resumes and try to emulate them.

In order to have an acting resume, you have to have done some acting.

You don't need an agent until you have started answering casting calls, and won a few parts, and are in a position to start negotiating for parts instead of begging.

Acting resumes are easy..... just follow these steps!!!

Don't lie, be honest because the theater world is a small one and it can REALLY bite you in the butt.

Name in middle
Age (left side of paper)......................... (right side) Address
Height (left side of paper)...................(right side) City state Zip
Weight (left side of paper).... (right side)phone # (No CELL)

Experience...Start with most recent
Schooling
Skills... (here is where you can be creative, Most judges like random skills but you better know how to do them b/c they will call you out on them)

ALL ON ONE PAGE (glossy paper)
and on the other side you picture in black and white
