well... lets just play... assuming I did make it to top 40... by that part of the year I woul have already had my baby... do you see the small bit of controversy? I would be leaving my then like 3 month newborn to go on the show.. make sense? Is that wrong? When I just want to live out the dream for me and my baby...

If you are 5 months pregs... You will have the baby around November. That means that if you make it to the finals, you would have a brand new born baby!!! You will not want to be away from you little one. If you want to audtion for the experience, I give you huge kudos! There's nothing wrong with high aspirations...being pregnant may even work to your benefit!!! Good Luck! I'll watch out for a pregnant girl on the audition shows!

You can have a child or be expecting a child and still audition being it's a "singing" competition, Just say that its your fiance that is the father and not that you are just pregnant from someone you new. An Idol has to show some waht of a good example and being pregnant could be a very good example if you just say that you are in a committed relationship so that it looks right.

The only thing I can say against it is that pregnancy and post-pardum can change your voice a bit. I only say that because 2 of my girlfriends had the problem where they had gorgeous voices before they got pregnant, during pregnancy the pressure caused weird rhythm's and post-pardum it's been a little different. Aside from that, remember the traveling and fact that you will have to make a stage presence while all belly and it may get to a point where physically standing there and practicing is just too tiring.

Well that Phil did it and skipped his kids birth, so you really cant hold a double standard on a pregnant woman. The only problem might be air travel later in your pregancy. Plus really having to pee when youre on stage.

Go ahead & try it. Not knowing your age or marital status...I do have an opinion on those. If you're unmarried and/or a teenager, I don't think you'd have a chance at being a role model for our country.

i think you should go for it...its not harmful in any way, maybe besides stress which isnt good but all you are doing is singing, and who knows you could make it in the top and make lots of money for your new baby...Good luck

You go girl! If you think it you got what it takes, than go for it. They should be judging your voice, not the fact that you are pregnant!

i think it is great; however, extreme stress can carry over into your pregnancy and increase certain risk factors. i would ask your doctor. good luck!!!
