he arranges a date with a sex surrogate for her. The surrogate takes her to dinner and an evening of dancing, brings her home and she and the surrogate have mad, passionate sex in front of hubby. Surrogate leaves and is never seen again; wife is deeply grateful to hubby. Nothing of this sort happens again for the next three years, and wife says she's content. Your thoughts?

If she is content for the last 3 years, then why'd she need the surrogate in the first place. I find it creepy that the husband would arrange and watch. He could have taken her to dinner, dancing, and an adult toy store, go home watch her and perhaps help her with her new toy.

That's just a little disturbing, but being an old fashioned girl, I would think that. I'm stuck in the mentality that for better or worse means that all areas of intimacy are exclusively between husband and wife. There are also therapists out there that help with this stuff. It's just nonsense to bring someone else into your problems when there are more practical ways of solving them. What are they thinking? That would not be a long term solution to their problems.

My thoughts: I wouldn't have done it. It doesn't matter - sorry. I'm not married, but if I was and somewhere along the road - if my husband could no longer "satisfy" me.....I would find others ways and other things me and him could do without involving a third party. I couldn't be with anyone sexually if it weren't my husband. There are the hands, the mouth; toys. That is only my opinion on the matter. It would devastate me to watch the one I love having sex with another. Who is to say - that by doing what you did - allowing another to do that - even though "it hasn't happened" since and its been 3 years (to your own knowledge) --- wouldn't that be like -- giving her the 'go-ahead' to cheat?
Pretty sure you meant well - and I'll pray for you -- but surely there are other things you and your wife could have done - together - to "satisfy" her......if she really loved you -- she would "work with you"...

Meanwhile, back in that little place we call reality -

...wife started to secretly wish that she could have the other man again. Then realizes there are a LOT of other men out there and behind husbands back is whoring because - hey - he opened the door for it.

Husband is blissfully unaware that half of the men in town have had their turn with his wife...... "and wife says she's content."

Her being happy is what you want right? If she is content then that is perfectly fine. Just so you know (and like you don't already), why not buy some toys to help her along. You know though, her being content with being satisfied with what she had three years ago puts her in my book of good women. you guys must have a really good relationship. I'm happy for you.

I've heard of people doing this before.

Sometimes the man would rather find a "surrogate" for the wife than her going behind his back and/or possibly losing her... knowing that he can't give her what she needs/wants.

Sometimes it just plain turns them both on.

I don't understand it or could do it myself, but to each his own ... it's none of my business.

Just a bit too weird for me. There are other ways of satisfying a sexually frustrated wife.

The loving man is also intelligent, he realizes that Love and Sex are two different entities. If they are both happy then good for them.

Whatever works for them...if she's content, all the better.

Btw, did the husband enjoy watching? Just curious.

3 years sounds like too long. Why the dinner and dancing?
