I wouldn't hesitate..go for it...start out slowly..maybe one or two classes to see how you like it...do not start out full time, there may be a lot of time spent out of the classroom that you need to incorporate into your schedule...

If it's something you want to do, absolutely ! But if you're happy with the education you have already, you're getting into an awfully big time commitment and a lot of work for something that sounds like it's more his idea than yours. Maybe if there's something else you're interested in doing....like some sort of volunteer work or taking classes toward a career rather than a degree (like real estate or travel agent or something) maybe you could propose that to him as an alternative option.

Students come in all ages these days so I'm sure that women students in their forties and fifties will be just as attracted to male students of that age. As for the male youngsters - forget it. They'd just want a slave to replace mommy.

Oh yeah. I took a couple of college courses and was surprised at how many people my age and older were in college. Even the young 18-19 year olds think it's cool for someone older to be in college. They are very helpful to those of us who haven't been in school for umpteen years. Like I said, I was pleasantly surprised. If you want to go to college, it's never too late. Good luck to you. I hope everything goes well. Have fun and enjoy it. :o)

first of all it needs to be something that YOU want to do. Doing for someone else will not bring contentment to you.
I am in my 40's and yes would love to go to college. But I would be doing it for me because I want that fullfillment.
You are obviously bored and need something to do with your time....find what YOU like sweetie....it doesnt matter how long it takes but true happieness comes from within and when you find YOURSELF.....You can respect him without having to do what he suggests and THINKS would be good for you. Continue being the good wife that you are....but find YOUR joy.

Sure, their is nothing wrong with bettering yourself at any age. Their are people over the age of 40 that still goes to school. Don't let age stop you from missing out on an opportunity.

I am 32 and attend a small college near my house. I know a lot of women your age that are in college. They love it! Also, having the older adults around is something that is good for the youngens. They can learn wisdom and life experiences from us. The non-traditional, adult student is needed in college.

I am 22, and in college.
I've had classes with men and women who were in their 40s, 50s and even 60s.
You are never too young or old for education.
