Couldn't find any that old in the baseball almanac site. But, I agree, none of them would be around now anyway.

Got thinking it might be the Cuban team, but it looks like they have only been around since 1860.

OK, who do you think it is?

The 1st recorded game was played in 1846, as Alexander Joy Cartwright's New York Knickerbockers lost to the New York Baseball club at the Elysian Fields in Hoboken, New Jersey. The Reds did not become fully professional until 1869.

None - while the Cincinnati Reds were the first professional team, they were founded in 1869. As for the oldest team continually playing in one league, that would be the Chicago Cubs, who were charter members of the National League. Cincinnati was expelled from the National League following the 1880 season, partly because they rented their park out on Sundays ( Sunday games were not allowed by the NL at the time) and because they refused to stop selling beer during their games. The were readmitted to the NL for the season of 1891 after playing for 8 seasons in the American Association.

First off, it's not the Cincinnati Reds. They didn't even form as a team until the early 1860s.

The only teams that were around in 1846 are teams like the Knickerbockers and the Nine. I guess you could say the Knickerbockers are still around as the New York Knicks (NBA), but that's stretching it a little!
