Are their certain foods that are impossible to forget how they taste? Are complex flavors easier to forget than a "pure" elemental one. Are there even such things as a pure flavor. OH, maybe the ones we have on the different regions of the tongue as the pure flavors (salty, sweet, bitter, I forget the other(s) Mind you, we assume that the taste isn't connected to events in your life.

Not really reemember, maybe you can recall if a taste is good, bad; or maybe sweet, bitter or whatever. Flavor is pure chemestry, and you can't recall that in your brain.

Just do this, Close your eyes, Picture your favorite food, Rub your palate with your tongue; think about the flavor...try tasting

I bet you can't....can you?

The brain saves a lot of things, flavor is not one of them

Actually, the sense of smell is most closely linked to memory. And since taste requires smell, then I'm sure the taste of food will be unforgettable. I remember smelling a certain cookie my grandmother use to make and when I smelled it again 15 years later I had a flashback of memory to my grandmother's kitchen.
