with no cell phone service, then you get out of your car and go in over your shoes and have to wade the creek to get them clean. Well, I just did.

No but, I was on a snow covered country road in a "white out" and simply drove off the road into the ditch...luckily another car came by without minutes and gave me a ride to the nearest farm house where the farmer got his tractor out and pulled my car out of the ditch...all I had to do was make him a pecan pie for payment..was I lucky or what?..
This home visit was to play bridge...

I'm just so sorry! So did you make it to the visit? How did you get the car out? And are the shoes ruined??? *sigh* I swear.... we get no rain... finally do... and then icky crap happens. You're home now... safe and away from the icky mud. Just sorry you had to go through it.

I didn't but a friend of mine did. As teachers, we have to do home visits, and she backed right into a ditch, filled with water. Yuck.
