Technically they are Christians in the event that they suspect in Jesus Christ, yet those style of individuals are no longer residing the Christian existence. on an identical time as the extreme use of alcoholic beverages won't continually be a severe count, the errant sexual habit is usually a severe count, and in the event that they do no longer repent, they are going to be held to blame.

Let's see if I can explain the gospel to you. The gospel starts with God and your realisation of who God is

Get a bible and read Isaiah 45

http://www.biblegateway.com/ is a useful site for looking up bible passages

and also read Leviticus 19 where God declares himself as holy and demands holiness from his worshippers.

Now read Isaiah 59

Now here comes the crux of the matter. You are not that bad, surely. Maybe you're not perfect, but come on a God of love will overlook some trivia. After all we are human we all make mistakes

Holiness is absolute. It allows no variance. There are no grades in holiness. Only God is holy

The gospel of Christ is about having the holiness of God imparted to you.

Sounds freaky, but this is where the power lies, and as such it flows from God. I hope this is making sense

Now does the verse in Isaiah 59:2 speak for you. Are you prepared to acknowedge that it is your sin that has seperated you from God.

Now read Isaiah 66. It is the first two verses I want to pick out. This is hwo we should be before God, contrite and lowly in spirit.

Now read Numbers 21:4-9

and then Ezekiel 18

The soul that sins dies, just as those bitten by the snake died.

Death is the inevitable result of sinning

Now read the gospel according to John 3:14,15

14Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

According to Hebrews 9:22 the shedding of blood is necessary for the remission or forgivness of sins. So unless Christ has died and his blood had been shed our sins could not have been forgiven.

What is offered to God must be holy. If it is not, then what is holy must be offered in its place. We are not holy, but Christ is.

What did the ancient Isrealites have to do, when bitten by the snakes? Look to the bronze snake on the pole. In the same way, those who are bitten by sin are to look to Jesus on the cross.

The cross epitomises all that is bad about mankind. It makes us face up to who we really are. It is us stripped of our veneer of civility.

Here we are asked to abandon our sin, to leave it with Jesus, to beleive that Jesus died for the forgivness of our sins. In short we are asked to look and live

Don't get hampered by deep theiological arguments indeed 17I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." Luke 18:17

Now read of Paul's visit to the Areopagus in Acts 17:16=334
and note , In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."

Now read Acts 4:1-21 and note alvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

Finally we end on the holiness of God. Read John 1 and note 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent,[c] nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

Read John 3:1-21 and note 3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.[a] and also note the imperative 'You[c] must be born again.'

The reason 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[f] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him

Now were it says love it is not as we understand it. This is love rooted in holiness, that brings us from destruction into the family of God and heirs of the inheritance, and that shows the glory and grace of God

And as it is a matter of love you are free to accept or reject it.
