Pegasus was the result of the union of Poseidon and Medusa, springing from her blood when her head was severed. Bellerophone slept in the temple of Athena and was given the bridle that allowed him to capture the horse and fight the Chimera. When he attempted to fly to Mount Olympus, Zeus sent a fly to sting Pegasus, who threw his rider. Pegasus is the bearer of the thunderbolts but is not immortal.

Pegasus is the flying mythical horse. He is the carrier of Zeus's lighning bolts. He was freed when Perseus cut off Medusa's head

pegasus is a creature in mythology. if i'm not mistaken, it's bellerophon's horse... bellerophon rode pegasus when he fought the chimera.
