My printer is a hp color laserjet 2550L.

If the "printer" doesn't work (as in it's own test pages can't print) read the error message off printer and repost a new question.
If the PC can't print to the printer, uninstall and reinstall the drivers from the CD, if still no printing repost question with more info, Windows version, Connection (Usb / network), any error messages seen

If it's a USB connection DO NOT connect before the driver isntaller asks you to, they just get confused.

Also worth checking printer folder, see if the driver has installed a "copy" of itself, if so try printing to the one marked "copy" if that works, simply delete other version, and rename this (right click, rename) to remove the "copy" and set as default (right cliclk, set as default)

If you explain what the problem is then you might get more help, "printer isn't working" is too broad a statement to pinpoint what might be wrong
