In my recent visit to America, I was faced with harsh comments from a few people. I was nice to the people but they gave me weird looks and looked very angry. I heard comments such as "I want to kill everyone one of those people." "I swear, I see anyone of them again I'll rob them." "I don't care which country they came from, it can be from the west but those people steal and stinck like stench." I was indeed shocked never in my whole life had I stolen anything, I take a shower everyday and I respect all peoples. I feel like I was treated like an animal, I just want to know why?

No I doubt it was your "designer" clothes. Here in America most of us do own designer things, even the people on welfare. But thanks for informing us you were wearing designer clothes, I know we needed to know that.

You are different Americans do not like different. Sadly they see everyone from a foreign country with dark skin and think 9/11. But hey atleast you guys got some bomb *** food! I love your curry and nan bread!

Not all American's feel that way. I know a few Indian people (I'm Native American). In fact, my son has an Indian friend and his parents are real nice and vice versa.
I'm sure it just depends on where you visited and the area of that city. But not all American's feel hate towards Indian people.
Seems you just had a bad experience. Next time visit a better place.

Contextually, I suspect that you are asking about people from India and not "American" Indians, not that it makes any difference. The short answer is no. Some Americans hate just about anybody that is not just like they are as do people in just about any country. A difference of any kind is taken as a defect that can be capitalized upon to make the observer feel superior. Some of what you heard was probably based upon the fact that some uninformed assume that anybody from India and the middle east is Islamic and a terrorist. Some are pure racist, just hating a person of color. It is a fact that people of certain cultures have a distinctive body odor that comes from dietary habits, not sanitary habits. Garlic is a food that comes to mind, but there are others. And of course there are the stupid stereotypes. I apologize for your unfortunate experience.

Indian as in from the country of India or Indian as in Native American Indian? Either way, the majority of the American population has nothing against either of the two nationalities.

Wow, that's sad that you had an experience in America like that...I'm American and I don't have any disdain at all towards Indian people...Many Americans don't as well, but some people are just narrow-minded and choose to believe generalizations and stereotypes..

sorry to learn about your bad experience. remember though to judge an entire country saying Americans hate Indian People is a generalization. there may be some who do but remember there are others who don't. there are both good and bad people everywhere and in all races, cultures, countries and ethnic backgrounds. no one is perfect.
