I live in Kentucky. It's not that great. Sure, it has its advantages--it's pretty, I love the Louisville Cardinals, and Ale-8-1 is a great soft drink. But I DO NOT want to spend the rest of my life here by any means!
I'd rather live in:
1. Texas, by a longshot. If I couldn't do that, then I'd do...
2. Oklahoma (much like Texas,)
3. Mississippi (the people are so nice and relaxed,)
4. Atlanta,
5. Seattle,
6. Hawaii,
7. New York City,
8. Tennessee (west and middle TN only,) or
9. Gulf Shores, AL

I have lived in several places and didn't like any of them as much as where I live now. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and I absolutely love it. It has all of the advantages of a big city (sports teams, the arts, recreation, etc.) without many of the disadvantages (crime, traffic, congestion, high-priced housing). It's not perfect, but no place is. It was recently rated, though, as the most livable city in the U.S. by Places Rated Almanac
If I were forced to move from here, my main stipulation is that I would like to be nearer to the ocean, doesn't even matter which one. I have been to San Francisco a couple of times and loved it. I also like the east coast beach cities like Ocean City, NJ, or places a little farther south.
I have a close friend who lives in Texas. She lived in Austin for a long time and loved it. Lives near Dallas now and hates it. In both places the weather was HOT. A cousin of mine lived in Oklahoma and she hated it, but she's more of a city gal. No experience with any of the other places you've named.

I live in Washington state, near Seattle. I don't really like it because it rains too much, and winter went on extra long this year. Also, when it's not summer, it's overcast all the time. I'd really like to live in California, where the weather is warmer and I can go to the beach more often.

I live in Calgary, Alberta, I don't like it too much..... I'm not much of a city person. I would rather live on Van. Is. British Columbia. It is beautiful there and the winters are alot milder... none of this -30 crap!!!!!!!

I live in southern California outside of L.A. and the only place i would move to would be Chicago, but i dont plan on leaving CA.

I live in the country outside of Houston Texas and love it, would not go anywhere else!!!!!!!!!! It's great here.

I don't like it...its corrupt, taxes are too high.
