Yep. And until he goes heads down, he may stay that way if he's comfortable.

I am currently 36 weeks. I am having a boy, and my little guy finally turned but hasn't dropped yet. I know have his rear end firmly lodged under my ribs which isn't much better since he arches his back and pushes into my ribs.

As soon as our babies drop, we will both breath easier.

I asked my doctor what I can do about the painful kicking if anything. He smiled and said, "I suggest rubbing your stomach and saying 'That's my boy!'" I laughed and said, "So, in other words, be grateful that he's strong enough and healthy enough to be hurting me when he kicks." The OB told me that was exactly the message and that, seriously, there was nothing that could be done about it except to try to change positions to tempt him to move, but that is he was snug and had space, he wouldn't go for it.

I've also had that tender rib cage soreness, and I just had to give up on underwire bras. I found a bra by xhileration at Target for $9.99 with no underwire that works great for now. It has some shaping to it, so it's not flimsy and doesn't show through. Also, they have lots of cute styles and colors. I also go 'bra-less' at home but always have even before I was pregnant so it's a habit.

It is normal but you can move the baby with a cold wash cloth. Just place a cold cloth on the spot where the pressure is worst and the baby will shift away from the cold. No harm to the baby and you will be more comfortable. Good Luck!
