Perfect for me. I live in a neighborhood that has just a few young single families, and nobody gets to nosy or drops in to often, but we watch out for each other, and I know of several that I would not hesitate to help me in an emergency, as I would for them. When my mother went to the hospital by ambulance last year, I had a neighbor here immediately to offer to watch my granddaughter. I love the old folks, and I guess to some, I already am one! When my husband passed last year, they all took care of setting up a buffet for ones who came after the wake.

Dickie, my next door neighbor, is a cool enough guy - smokes too much, but his dogs are happy which says alot about a person.

Stan, my neighbor in back, is a friendly and really nice person, always ready to lend a hand and looking out for everyone in the 'hood. My best friend lives behind me as well.

Other than that I live next to a vacant lot with a really big oak tree (a nice neighbor to have on a hot day) and across the street from a Reformed Anglican church.

I still have not met the new next door neighbors that bought the house. No one seems to be staying overnight. The 1st family that was there hasn't returned and there is a different woman who stops by a couple of times only. Very strange, indeed.

Umm well they are new. The bought the house from my brother. Some of the things they have tried to strike up a conversation with me about are:
How many times should I vaccuum the carpet per day?
I cant get my cookies to bake correctly, what setting shoulf I put cookies on?
How do I get into my mail box? (I told her she had to go get a mailbox key from the PO and she said "but why")
So needless to say I avoid them usually. I have also cursed my brother sometimes for selling the house to these people.

My next door neighbor in my home town was my friend since kindergarten. She wasn't a very good friend, quite mean actually, the only reason we were friends was bc we were nieghbors, I haven't spoken 1 word to since we graduated from high school which was in 2001.

He is an old man who lives all alone with no family left. He's very nosy but yes, I like him. I always take food to him on Thanksgiving and Christmas and usually always buy him a present for Christmas.

They are the main factor that we are moving.
The kids come into our yard without us knowing and ride our kids bikes and scooters.
They also knock on our door at 10pm asking to borrow a hammer or some stupid thing.

We've had to install baby locks on our fences so they can't get in!

I love my neighbors. My whole neighborhood gets along better than family. My neighbors are all older than my family and I. I build a backyard paradise out of a vacant, rundown, overgrown lot where we sit, drink beer, and laugh.
