He has already played for England's senior team in FIFA sanctioned tournaments. So he's not eligible to play for any other national team.
"This is exactly why no serious fan of the beautiful game watches or cares about MLS. You are an embaressement to me, yourself and our country and an excellent representation of how ignorant and uninformed U.S. soccer fans are."
No one is born with these type of knowledge. He probably wants to learn about the game and this is a pretty good place to ask questions. Don't be an a55.

No.
At least in football / soccer, once you play for a national team, you cannot play for another national team.
Because he has played for England, he cannot play for any other country (for example, USA).

He will play for England because he is not a U.S. Citizen! You do not have to play for the country you were born in! I could be born in Italy but be an American citizen whicjh means I would have to play for America!

No. It just like any other olympic sport. Just because they play here does not mean that they have to become american citizens. Look at Yao Ming or any good hockey player. They always go back and play for their countries when big time tournaments come up. I hope this helps.

To play for a national team, you have to have that country's citizenship. For Beckham to play for Team America, he must have American citizenship.

You have to be a citizen of the country you're representing. Also, once you play for one national side, you can't chose to play for another.
