In 500 years time, the people living then will regard us in the same vein as we look back to the 17th century even though we are technologically enabled and those in the 1600s weren't?

Hopefully in 500 years, if we haven't killed ourselves or the planet off, we will have learnt to live in harmony and peace, and to ensure that there is plenty of food and water for everyone. Then our descendants will wonder how we could live in such a warlike self-centered way.
If it is exactly like it is now, then humanity is even more stupid than I thought it was.

Yes I do actually. I'm sure they'll think we were just as primitive as we think people in the 1600's were. Just think how far we've advanced in the last 500 years. I can't even begin to imagine what things will be like 500 years from now.

In 500 years time, we'll be remembered as the ones who stuffed the planet and sent so many of the worlds animals extinct.

It depends on how far human technology has progressed in 500 years, there may be a leveling off point, in which many scientific innovations have stalled, ceased, and become stagnant.

I think they will hate us... I reckon in 500 years time the world will be so green and everyone will live in trees and be completely sustainable, and the thought of polluting will be just dispicable because they've learnt their lesson from us. I hope so anyway!
