Yes.

Frankly, I would rather see attacks detered rather than prevented. You can't count on blocking every attempt to attack your country - deterence, OTOH, when effective, tends to be completely effective.

(Compare the effectiveness of ABMs to the effectiveness of MAD).

If by preventative measures you mean invading foreign nations, I don't think that's a real good Idea. It isn't working out in Iraq very well if that is any measure. If by preventative measures you mean securing our borders and taking steps to secure America to the best of our ability, good idea.

Your idea of preventative measures is take away our civil liberties. But you woudnt know anything about that.

The only reason we have not suffered another "terrorist attack" under Bush is that his Father's people haven't felt the need yet to do another one.
