When people like Rush Limbaugh divide the country, it seems to me that he and his dittoheads hate the country as you cannot love something if you're trying to divide it (divide and conquer).
But then again Limbaugh loves "Liberals", after all, if it weren't for them he'd be out of a job.
My question is why do "Conservatives" hate "Liberals"? They had a "Conservative" President and a "Conservative" controlled Congress and they still complained about "Liberals."
I just find more hate from "Conservatives" towards "Liberals" (not to say that the reverse doesn't happen, it happens in droves)
Of course if the "Liberals" don't agree with the way "Conservatives" do things, why do they use the same tactics?

The rhetoric is that if you don't agree with conservatives, you hate America. Its the stuff fed to them by O'Reilly and Limbaugh. I really like the way you phrased this question. I'm sure some of the answers will get much more specific but basically, that is it.

I hate these things about America:
People who are so ignorant of history and economics that they can easily be convinced to vote against their own interests and those of the majority of Americans.
People who are so ignorant of basic science that they can say things like "evolution is just a theory".
People who are so ignorant of current events that a mojority of them still believe there was evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved in the 9/11 attacks.
People who are so ignorant of the basic rules of logic that they can watch an hour of (unfounded) opinions on Faux News and think that they learned anything about the truth.

What cons who accuse liberals of hating America are doing is simply showing their disdain for anyone who disagrees with them. They resort to calling people on the left names, some of which were cliche 30 years ago. It's not any more thought out than that.
By the way, there are many on the left who are just as guilty of throwing meaningless barbs at people on the right.

Right now we hate the obstuction that the G O P is bringing to the political process
Indeed, it’s quite a vicious cycle. Dems bring up a bill … Republicans block the bill … Dems tell voters to be patient … Republicans blame Dems for failing to deliver on their policy agenda. And if Americans aren’t paying attention, they fall for the con.
It’s quite a record the Senate minority has assembled.
EIGHT times Republican obstruction tactics slowed critical legislation
* Fulfilling the 9/11 Commission Recommendations (Passed 97-0, Roll Call Vote #53)
* Improving security at our courts (Passed 93-3, Roll Call Vote #133)
* Water Resources Development Act (Passed 89-7, Roll Call Vote #162)
* A joint resolution to revise U.S. policy in Iraq (Passed 89-9, Roll Call Vote, #74)
* Comprehensive Immigration Reform (Passed 69-23, Roll Call Vote #173)
* Comprehensive Immigration Reform (Passed 64-35, Roll Call Vote #228)
* CLEAN Energy Act (Passed 91-0, Roll Call Vote #208)
* Funding for the Intelligence Community (Passed 94-3, Roll Call Vote #129)
FOUR times Republicans blocked legislation from being debated
* Senate Republicans blocked raising the minimum wage. (Rejected 54-43, Roll Call Vote #23)
* Senate Republicans blocked ethics reforms (Rejected 51-46, Roll Call Vote #16)
* Senate Republicans blocked comprehensive immigration reform (Rejected 45-50, Roll Call Vote #206)
* Senate Republicans blocked funding for renewable energy (Rejected 57-36, Roll Call Vote #223)
FOUR times Republicans stopped bills from reaching a vote
* Senate Republicans blocked funding for the intelligence community. (Rejected 41-40, Roll Call Vote #130)
* Senate Republicans blocked raising the minimum wage. (54-43, Roll Call Vote #23)
* Senate Republicans blocked ethics reforms (Rejected 51-46, Roll Call Vote #16)
* Senate Republicans blocked funding for renewable energy (Rejected 57-36, Roll Call Vote #223)
TWICE Republicans blocked bills from going to conference
* Senate Republicans blocked appointing conferees on the 9/11 Commission Recommendations (6/26/07)
* Senate Republicans blocked appointing conferees on ethics reform (6/26/07)
I have only one question: if the shoe were on the other foot, and 49 Senate Dems had blocked this many popular pieces of legislation, what do you suppose Senate Republicans would do about it?

Liberals hate:
Free Speech
see the Fairness Doctrine
Wealth (as in earning a living)
Liberals hate it when hardworking people succeed and actually make money. Liberals would prefer to steal from the successful and give the money to the failures.
The Constitution
This document allows free men and women to own guns. Gun ownership has two basic Constitutional functions. First self-defense. Second defense against odious government. Liberals will find it difficult to take over if free Americans can stand up to them.
This document limits central governments power. And Liberals are all for power.
This document is the definition of a free society and Liberals are opposed to freedom of thought and freedom of action when those thoughts and actions are not sanctioned by Liberals.
