It would take a critical mass of voters to bombard their members of Congress with letters, petitions, emails, etc., to invoke sufficient wrath. I don't think that's going to happen. He is losing support in Congress but not of such a degree to provoke impeachment.
I think the best we can hope for is a "virtual impeachment," whereby Congress overrides his threatened vetos and guts his Iraq program. The Constitution invests Congress with the power to check the executive branch if they can muster enough votes. But it would take an insurrection from his Republican party to make it happen.
I think people disapprove of Congress as the polls suggest because they elected Democrats on the promise that they would do something to check this president's incompetence and ignorance. But there are not enough Democrats and independent Republicans to make much of a difference.

The real problem is that it takes a 2/3 majority in the Senate to remove Bush and Cheney from office. The Democrats could impeach him in the House, but then he'd still be in office. There's no way the Republicans are going to throw Bush out of the White House and hand it over to the Democrats--that would be political suicide.
Without being able to remove Bush and Cheney from office, impeaching him would look like no more than a partisan vendetta, a political circus, like Clinton's impeachment looked. Clinton's popularity reached its highest point during his impeachment! Over 70%! And it was never lower than 55% after that.
Nancy Pelosi is no fool. She knows this. So impeachment is 'off the table'. In the meanwhile, the Dems are investigating some of the misdeeds of the administration, and every investigation is turning up really bad stuff. Every rock they've turned over so far has had stuff under it. Bush's popularity continues to plummet, and Republican congressinal leaders are beginning to fear for their own seats, and are starting to distance themselves from Bush.
Every day Bush stays in office he does more damage to the Republican Party. Sooner or later, Republicans in Congress might decide they'd be better off without him. When that happens, he'll be impeached in a week, or he'll quit.
With Nixon they worked out a deal. They went after Agnew first and allowed Nixon to pick Agnew's successor. This way the White House stayed under Republican control. That was VERY important to them. If that happens this time, Cheney will go first, Bush will get to pick some moderate-looking Republican to replace him, and the guy will sail through his Senate confirmation.
So if Cheney soon announces his decision to retire 'for health reasons', you'll know the process is beginning.

Well, whining and screeching and throwing a tantrum certainly won't work. You'll need to prove he committed a "high crime or misdemeanor", such as lying under oath or obstructing justice. So far, Bush hasn't done anything to warrant an impeachment no matter how much you dislike him.

Finding an actual crime would be a good start. Absent that, all you have to do is wait for about another 18 months, then he'll be gone.

First to impeach a president you need to show a crime has been committed. Just disagreeing with them and desiring it does not constitute high crimes and misdemeanors.

Only Congress can impeach a President, and I hope they are not stupid enough to do that.

Remember "No Taxation w/o Representation"?
If you're not get proper representation by GW Bush, eh, stop paying taxes... I bet that would get the Govt attention. Too bad it's July not April.
Just an idea....cause the whole "write to your senator/representative" doesnt work.

I suppose factual evidence of an actual crime, like perjury, for example, could be considered helpful. Just a thought.
