i take ballet and this is how i was taught to balance well.
when u go on your toes, focus your weight to your big toes, lean forward the SLIGHTEST bit(about an inch until u feel more balance), find a spot on the wall to stare at, and keep your muscles as tight as u can.

Hang on to the back of a chair and practice.
I hope you are planning to dance!
I used to walk barefoot on my toes!

don't try to balence barefoot on your toes without and kind of shoe. especially if you aren't trained in pointe. it can put pressure and strain on weak and unformed muscles. Try pointe!
