My definition of reality is something real based on fact not rumor and superstition, but something which can be proven.

No I don't believe in god, I just don't find the idea of ghosts in any way plausible, I can see that many people do believe in such things but personally I have yet to see any credible evidence to convince myself otherwise, the same would go for religion in my opinion, remember all I can give is my own opinion.

Its not hard to believe in video games when you can actually see them , in the shops for example, I'm still not convinced by the ghost thing.

What is your definition of reality? How do you know that your reality and mine are the same? Perhaps those who accept that ghosts are a cosmic possibility have also accepted reality as they perceive it. Reality is a matter of perception. Just because my perceptions and yours might not be the same does not mean you are any more right or wrong than I am. Reality is subjective. So how can you tell whether or not someone has accepted it?
But that's just it, given the right conditions, or the right people, you can "prove" or "disprove" anything you want to using scientific methods. I've seen scientists prove the existance of ghosts and disprove it. That doesn't make it fact. (Of course, I'm of the opinion that there is no such thing as fact, only experience and perception. There is no truth, no lies, just the way we veiw and react with the world around us). I've seen things that leave no room for doubt concerning the existance of ghosts and "supernatural" beings, but others have had experiences to the opposite end of that spectrum. Who is correct?

Why not, you're trying to fit in to society again....believe in what makes the most sense to you. I wonder why we leave things up to others to make decisions and choices for us? There are those who say Jesus isn't real, some say there is no such thing as Ghosts, or there is no such thing as an alien. We give these people so much value and truth. When in fact they are ignorant. If you can't prove it, then why believe in it? Because you can't prove otherwise, if it makes sense..it's ok to believe in it. I would suggest taking all information and knowledge you have and make your decision based on that.
I believe in a lot of things because of what I do for a living. I place myself in controversy I guess and that's ok because who else will do it.....believe in what you want to believe in.

You are forgetting about the gray area between fact and folklore.
I know ghosts and spirits exist. I don't have to prove it to anyone. I am 20 years old and married. He knows they are real too. In fact, he has seen a few.
The Paranormal is out there. Most people either don't see it, don't want to see it, or ignore it.
Just because it is not backed up by facts does not make it false.

Who is to say what is reality and is not? The unexplained or abstract in life is very real to some educated people, and to those who tend to be black and white with their views, it is complete hog-wash. I say let people believe what they want to, be opened minded and you may be surprised as to what there is out there. It has nothing to do with being an adult or child like. Some children have more insight than adults!

I not only believe that it is acceptable but I believe that it is wise for an adult to believe in ghost and demons(fallen angels).. For it just might save your live... Now as to your lack of belief.. Nothing will stop ghost or demons from appearing.. And you lack of belief may cause you harm because you might not make a true effort to get away or learn how to protect yourself from being harmed..........................................

I think everyone of any age should believe whatever they want to and a belief in ghosts is surely more harmless than some beliefs.

I think this is a loaded question. I think that you should reallise we don't know everything. I think you should also realise that perfectly mature people can believe in ghosts and other things without them being childish or irrational.

Well I think that there are spirts out there. Not ghosts....But I am not hiding under my bed...It is normal to be afraid of things you cant see or hear but know is there. (or think is there) Your mind can play many tricks on you. Don't worry as long as they dont go crazy.
