does anybody have one legit argument for why they oppose the legalization of marijuana?

every opposer of it i hear are either dont know the first thing about weed or just believe what commercials tell them and havnt done there own research

why are people againts it

and why is it ok for deadlier things like cigarettes and alcahol ok to be legal

I have had personal experience on what pot does to people. it makes them lazy, unmotivated, depressed ..... i think people who smoke pot are losers. My personal experience.

as far as cigarettes, its not a controlled substance.


and until you learn how to spell alcohol I'm not going to address it.

I grew up in the 60's when pot was everywhere. I know first hand what it does. It is a gateway drug. That means that a very large percentage of users go on to harder and more deadly drugs. It kills brain cells. There is nothing funnier than listening to a pot head try to have a conversation about how pot never hurt anyone. With few exceptions, the guys and gals that smoked pot in my highschool, are losers today. No nice homes, no new cars, divorces, kids out of wedlock, living in motels or on the street or just plain dead.
As for ciggerettes, no one told us back then how deadly they are. As you can see, we now know that they kill you. More and more legislation is being passed to control or outlaw smoking in public. Alchohol can be misused. It can be used properly too. It has been proven to be healthy to have an occasional drink. But at the same time, it has been proven that some people are idiots and drink too much, then cause death and destruction. So, while alchohol is legal at this time, perhaps it's time we started regulating it's use just like we do ciggerettes. My idea is to outlaw idiots. Anybody buy that?

Well it was originally band because of taxes, and I know it may not seem like it, but after awhile, it is addictave. And it promotes otheer dangerous drug use. So basically, its what a bunch of 10 year old kids use untill their old enough to get into other stuff. Also it can be a cause of obesity I mean I'm 13 and i did it once and the reason i don't wanna do it again is because all you do after is eat and eat and eat. It also lowers your ability to make choices. My friend lost her virginity when she was high. Now she's known as a slut. I have a friend who's cousin got hit by a car when he was crossing the road when he was high and he died. Also, it doesn't do much if you do it once of twice, bit in a few more years, you won;t be as quick as u used to and you'll be pretty dumb, people will basically be like 'ok dumb assmget away from me and go smoke more weed'. I never thought it was that bad untill all my friends stared doing it and I had a talk with my sisters friend who is 23 and addicted to it, now because of all the weed she smoked, she wakes up and ukes every morning and she can't remember most of the stuff from her childhood. IT really isn't that bad compared to other drugs but their is always the downsides. Oh yeah and u loose a lot of your friends who are better than to sit around and get high all day. And people always find out about it and even if you only do it once then you will be known as that pothead kid who smoked wit so and so. You can also get enthsima and watever that disease is called that mkes yu forget a lot. Also if your young and have parents who could get arrested for you possesing marajuana, not good. And a lot of people are judgemental about it. ANd I lost my best friend to what started out as weed and then hard core drugs and sex aand buddy, she's fuckig 13, if you don't see something wrong with that then ur messed. SHe didnt die but she did change and is a completly different person. It changes people and you never really understand how bad something is untill you loose someone to it. I never thought anything bad of it untill then, in fact I was like you and though hey why shouldn't it be legal theres nothing wrong with it, now i realize how ******* stupid i was. Another friend of mine smokes cigs evertime she does weed and she always says 'imnot adicted i only do it when i moke weed' wel she smokes weed almost everyday and she goes through a pack of cigs everytime she somkes and cigs can **** you up so theres another reason. Cuz thhats a lot of cigs. Also you waste like a load of money on that ****. The time that I did it, all 4 of us had 2 empty our wallets to pay for it. But seriously if this isn't reason enough to not so it, then you go ahead good luck to you your only ******* u your life and everyone who cares about youhave fun!

By the way just because it isn't as bad as other drugs doesn't mean its not bad. Im 13 and I know this how old r u, u don't seem to bright if you think all of this is right

Legalizing marijuana would be the best thing. It would divorce it from the criminal element and provided additional revenue in the form of exorbitant taxes. It is no more intoxicating than a beer and look at all the money it makes.

If you're not willing to legalize it then let's make it equal to all other social drugs. Make acohol, coffee, and cigarettes illegal. Forbid the use of caffine in any product.

The reason cannabis is not legal is not that it has proven to be harmful in as much as the petrochemical, tobacco and pharmaceuticals fear its approval and acceptance...can you imagine what the production of the plant will do to the profit margin of these industries...hence, the reason they pump so much money into the demonization of it...It has been proven beyond a doubt to be medicinal and a lot less harmful to humans than the present drugs of choice...the DEA, in it endeavour, must protect its very existence with the misinformation about the use of cannabis...as long as these industries, and the DEA is an industry, force politicians to depend upon their funds to get re-elected then we will never see a rational approach to the use of this almost miraculous herb.

There is no legit argument from those who oppose marijuana. Gateway drug my ***. Prescription pain killers are more harmful than weed, pot, marijuana whatever you call it. It's not addicitve. It doesn't cause cancer. And there's not way to overdose on it. Cigerettes are more harmful. If they are legal, pure weed should be legal, too. A generation of stoners? Please. It's legal in Europe. In France you can buy it and smoke it in cafe's

We all know that alcohol and cigarretts are bad for us, why should we legalize something that is just as bad or worse? Why should we make more legal ways of increasing medical expenses associated with alcohol and drugs? The only thing legalizing marijuanna will accomplish is increasing medical insurance rates. i feel that possession of a drug should not be illegal. no matter what. i don't condone drug use. but using tax dollars and government resources, flooding our jails with needless convictions... it's ridiculous. if someone wants to be stupid. let em be stupid. same as drinking or smoking tobacco. that stuff isn't illegal to use or possess.. if we were to put people in jail for being stupid, almost all of us would have served jail time at one point or another. there are exceptions to the legalization of drugs. what that would be, i dunno. but, the fact remains that we should not punish people under the current laws pertaining to recreational drugs and drug use.

for the lady that said pot smokers are useless and lazy.... thats bs, and you know it. pot doesn't make people that way. people make THEMSELVES that way. pot may enhance it, like it does with most other things...lol... but, it doesn't CAUSE people to be that way. they were like that to begin with. the only thing wrong with pot, is that it has a chemical in it that's found in LSD. this same chemical is known to cause impotence. but, what the heck out there doesn't have some sort of side effect? the water we drink is thought to be causing impotence in men. the birth control that gets flushed down the comodes cannot be broken down in current treatment methods. these contraceptives are known to cause impotence in men.
