I prefer the dryer myself. The clothes do smell better after hanging on the line, but they are not soft when they dry...towels especially. It's not fun drying with a rough, stiff towel after a shower. I stopped hanging out any clothes several years ago because of those little bitty TINY red bugs getting on them. Even shaking the clothes wouldn't get rid of these bugs, and I'd end up taking them in the house. Those things can bite!!

I prefer the dryer as well. When you hang your clothes, they dry stiff. Compare an item dried in the dryer to, say, a sweater or something you can't put in the dryer. The one from the dryer is always softer.
I remember when our dryer broke once and I had to hang everything. Our bath towels were stiff like paper towels. When I folded them, they creased. It sucked.

I prefer the dryer.
I don't wanna take the chance of having it start raining or a bird going to the bathroom on my clean clothes.
& My clothes just seem softer when they come out of the dryer as compared to hanging them out to dry.

I prefer the dryer and Bounce dryer sheets. :) I love the smell and feel, and absolutely hate the way clothes dried on the line feel. :) Our mother used to hang our clothes on the line, and jeans and towels were the WORSE! Crisp feeling clothes just isn't right! lol! :)

When its a nice sunny day with a little breeze I like to hang the wash out, it gives it that fresh clean scent, but I do use the dryer alot, it cuts down on the wrinkles and it doesn't matter if its raining, snowing u can still do it.

We use the dryer. The reason being is my family has allergies really bad. I live on a dirt road, too. Dirt and all the things we are allergic to stick to the clothes on the line as well as bugs.

Well I find it's always better to hang dry, one because cloths and clothes weaken overtime from being put in the dryer over and over and over again, two when you hang dry your clothes, they never shrink and it gets wrinkles out faster when you hang dry outside especially when its a particularly windy day.

Personally I like to hang them out. They smell better are more fresh and fit better plus the huge savings on my electric bill. My husband hates it. He says there too stiff for him. So I hang out the jeans and dry the rest in the dryer.
