Two guys stand out above all of the rest:
Demetrius "Hook" Mitchell, who has Gary Payton and Json Kidd saying he was better than them.
Earl "The Goat" Manigault, when Kareem says you are the best player he's ever played against, that's saying something.
I'm not saying that others aren't good and couldn't have made it in the NBA, but when you have perennial NBA all-stars and a guy with like 67 rings praising you like this, you get props the other cats just don't get.

Jaron Rush (older brother of Kareem and Brandon Rush); Rush played at UCLA along with current NBA star Baron Davis and former NBA player Jerome Mosio. He declared for the NBA draft in 2000 after his sophmore year but was not selected. However he was signed by the Seattle Supersonics but due to drinking problems he was eventually cut from the roster. One of the most highly recruited players out of high school and completely fizzled out.

Earl "the Goat" Manigault and Pee Wee Reese.
both got into drugs and/ or hustling in the streets and it kept them out.
i read an interview with Reese and he said that he felt like he was making more money hustling than the pros were making at that time...so he stayed in the streets.
as for the Goat...not only did Kareem endorse him, but so has Wilt Chamberlain, and Dr J.
i'm certain there are far more than we will ever know.
Cazzie Folks out of Boys and Girls H.S. in Brooklyn. NY.
...a kid with so much promise that fell victim to the streets.

I second career Abdul Jabbar's opinion of whom he considered the best high school basketball player in New York City during Kareem's high school years, but that dude went away to college and got involved in drugs and was never the same.
