How do I get it out?

Question

I have the cartilage in my ear pierced. Its one of those rings with the ball, but i lost the ball. I dont know how to get the ring out but I have a new earring to put in it. I tried plyers and please dont say go to the place i got it pierced. How on earth do I get the ring out?!

ya its just the little opening left..i can get one end out but i cant get the other end out..is it possible to make the opening larger?

I'll help you, but please elaborate.
...if you lost the ball it should just be a ring with a little open slot (where the ball would have been...)
anyways, if it is a ring with an open spot: just pull it though slowly and take it out...it should be really easy.
try getting it wet with water or Bactine, if you have any.... to lube it up so it will slip right though.

hey! good: I'm glad you wrote more... i was starting to think that maybe the ring's opening was INSIDE of the piercing, like it was healing around it... *phew* ...i was worried, lol!
anyways: for that: yea, i would use pliers and try and TWIST the metal to open it more... not TOO, too much just enough so you can maneuver it out. (i'm guessing that right now you're just trying to open the slot more... but you should twist it, ok?)
maybe have one of your friends or a sibling do it for you.... it might be hard for you to do that yourself.
and try more than once or twice before you give up...
new-ish piercings are weird to deal with when you're not used to handling them.

(seriously though, if you can't get it out for like a day or two, go back to the place that did it and i swear to you, they will just use pliers and twist it open a bit and pull it out...)
