SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH FOUND FISH DO SLEEP
Here is what an expert has found out about fish:
In subsequent studies, Zhdanova proved that melatonin does in fact promote sleep in zebrafish and that it somehow affects several tissues at once, slowing down the heart and lowering body temperature. Her other research was showing that low doses of melatonin administered at night to children with insomnia stemming from severe neurological diseases also helped them get to sleep.

Fish don't sleep, nor do they hibernate... When they get a chance, they take a quick rest. That is why some fish (like Tetras) just float in the current sometimes. All they are doing is keeping the water flowing over their gills (so they can keep getting oxygen) with minimal effort (all they do is flick their fins a few times to stay in place).

Fish don't really sleep because they don't have eye lids. They do go by the night and day cycle. They'll rest at night unless they're nocturnal feeders and are very active during the day. That is why its best to let them get a certain amount of light during the day and a certain amount of darkness during the night. Fish need rest too.

Fish never sleep. All they do is think of food. Take a look at the parana fish. If it does sleep, you can never convince me that its teeth does. LOL

No they don't sleep, but their little heart slows down at night. That's why they need light and darkness just like humans do. The water is colder when lights are off, so they rest at night, but do not sleep.

yes they do sleep. they usually sleep when it gets quiet in the house. but when you see them at the bottom among some rocks or plants, they are resting. you can see the pectoral or caudal fins move occasionally to keep the fish balance.
