Hi. Here are some answers I found from a websites I really hope this helps. =)
"Their skin also seems kind of irritating. This does not mean they are poisonous, or that it burns, it just means don't touch your eyes after you handle one. Instead, wash your hands with soap very thoroughly and then touch your eyes."
It sounds like you dont have to worry about it being poisonous. We have toads around our house and they do they same thing (about how their skin is irritating. They do it to keep dogs and animals from attacking them because if they get it in their face or mouth it makes them run off.
Also, they sell cuban tree frogs in pet stores, so I really doubt they would be allowed to sell them to you if they actually are as poisonous as some people say they are, if you get what I mean. They also sell fire bellied toads, and those are supposed to be posionous, but they are only posionous in the same way that cuban tree frogs are (they will irritate your eyes if you rub them after handling the frog), so dont worry. =D

Oh. Poor kitty. =( Well from what I read on that website and from what happens to my dogs when that happens, it just stings their eye for a littl while. Your kitty should be ok soon. Just give her/him a little while to get over it. Cuban Tree Frogs (any from really) only try to irratate the attacker(your cat, lol) just enough so they have pleanty of time to get away and out of range, so about 30 minutes Id say but 30 minutes is just a guess. Maybe sooner, maybe longer. Id say sooner then 30 minutes though.

I have an epidemic problem with the Cuban tree frogs they started in the palms then they got into the pool that was not being used and within a few weeks I had approximately 10,000 frogs of varying degrees of maturity. While I was out of town for 3 weeks a person housewarming emptied the pool into the yard . My sweet little 9 lb dog was poisoned to death by those frogs. They are most definitely POISONOUS to any small animals and probably babies.

well the cuban tree frog can eat other frogs but only if that frog that they are trying to pray on is greatly smaller than it if anything try to find a bigger frog to put in to the enclosure with the other frogs but then again i wouldn't recommend in putting so many frogs together especially that they are different species all frogs have their own toxin from their skin that can harm one another.. bu then again i havent rlly owner any cuban tree frogs

Nearly all tree frogs are somewhat poisonous it keeps predators from eating them. The toxicity of the poison varies from species to species. The red south american tree frog known as the poison arrow frog is extremely toxic. It has been reputed to have it's skin scraped with the tip of an arrow to extract the poison which will kill a man with just a scratch from the arrow.

Some sites say they ARE, others do not mention it. But the ones that do mention it, say they are poisonous to EAT, so they have few predators. Don't think you will be eating any, right?
"Cuban tree frogs are also poisonous which means that they have few predators. "
