yea the screen's resolution is prbly only 720p (1280x720) or 1080p (1920x1080) so yes a mbp can definately output to that. just use a regualr dvi, or vga cable.

the answers below me is wrong. the mbp prbly has a higher resolution then the lcd ur connecting it to. the mbp can also output to a maximum of 2560x1920

First, plug it in using a DVI cord. You then need to enable display mirroring. You should be able to easily accomplish this in the display preference pane.

It will now mirror the display. However, since the MacBook's display only supports a fairly low resolution, the 40' display will look pixelated.
