Looking to get a Mariah boat curious if they are any good.
The one im looking at is a 2005 19SX

I never met a boat I not like.
I remember when we were about 13 years old, my buddies and me were hounding our dads for a fishing boat. Our dads gave us some plywood, 2x4's and some paint and said; "Why don't you boys make you a boat"! So, we went to work! Made a flat bottom and had this 3 HP Johnson that fold up for storage, real cool. This old man gave us the outboard, said, if we could make it run we could have it, so, we had us a motor, lol! That was a good boat. It floated! We still have that boat, not use it much now, dang, it over 30 years old, but, it still floats.
Boats are not "Rocket Science" with the proper equipment, anyone can build a boat. Mariah makes a good boat. I like the windshields they use as they more stream lined. The engines are OMC, Mercury, maybe a Volvo. Like boats, most engines are good, inboards are car engines. Of course Chrysler and Force left room for debate as to "What is a good engine"?
The big concern with buying a boat is price. Is it a good deal for your money? Has the boat been taken care of and winterized so the block not cracked. Most boats as you run them, look at the engine as it runs, is there a trickle of water coming from the block or the oil is white? Then something cracked. Hit and stomp around on the floor and transom. Floors can rot and Transoms and under seats too. Check the Gel Coat/Paint for Blisters, this like little bumps and a sign it was a bad mold job on that one boat, as they will all use the same mold (Kinda) some may have one than one mold of the same boat. So, if it look good, water not coming from the block and it run good, no rot or blisters and it seem like a price you comfortable with after checking around, then it a good boat.

mariah is a very good name.My father had a talari series for 11yrs.
