That was a pretty deep movie for kids. Is it just me or were kids movies much less patronizing in the past?

i just watched that for the first in time in like 10 years like 5 days ago! yeah but you know i don't think i understood it all that well when i was a kid anyway.

Cartoon and kid's movies were geared toward adults and if the kids didn't get it, fine. Nowadays we worry that if they don't know we're ruining their fun, so we dummy down everything. Where's the challenge in that?

I have that movie,Gawd I loved it as a child.
The crap they have on for kids these days is just unbelievable.
