I wanted to learn hair at the school that I am going to but I can't afford it at this second. Any suggestions to getting into work at studios w/o knowing hairstyling?

Makeup and hair are two separate people unless you are with a VERY small studio. Even for weddings, two people are hired.

You can always try freelancing to different studios or people. I just got my certificate not long ago and that's my plan. That way you're not committed to one place where you may or may not find a lot of work. You could also try a counter like MAC or a Sephora store
