samhillesq- I will NEVER cut him a break. He is worthless and will never deserve it.

just plain jim- My SON IS in my best interest. He will always come first. His medical insurance is important to me obviously. And I am TIRED of trying to get even. It is not worth it.

I do intend on putting him on my insurance if i cannot get my ex to cooperate.

Gabe J, the Pro Se - You are ignorant. Your reply as to me being a B has nothing to do with my question. And yes, when it comes to the well being of my son, I will do and say whatever I need to to be sure that I am doing everything within MY POWER to make sure that ALL PARTIES (my ex) are doing what they are supposed to. If they are NOT then there will be obvious repercussions for their negligence. How is it fair for my SON to get the short end of the stick because his 'father' is not upholding his end of the deal? Stick your foot in your mouth.

Take care of the insurance yourself, but keep careful records of everything. Keep track of your ex and be sure the divorce papers follow him to every job. If he gets any kind of money from any source, file on it. Be sure IRS is aware of your divorce, they will send you any refunds he gets.

He owes you a debt and you are allowed to collect it. He's only piling up more with his dodging. If he ever wants to make a life for himself, he will first have to settle with you. His back child support must be paid.

As to revising the decree, see the judge. If your ex doesn't want to deal with it, the judge can do it without him. It can be handled one of two ways; in abstentia or assumed non-protest. (No-show). However, he will have to be served with a supenea. Talk to your lawyer about all this as some fees will be encurred.

Depends

Mostly that is a civil matter. Not like Child support laws.

My advice to you, either get a job that has health insurance, or get it yourself and have him help you with the expense. If he refuses, then remind him of the divorce papers. If he refuses again, then take him to court

Keep one thing in mind, the children come first. If you are doing this to get even, then you are wrong.

Also, consider your ex situation. It could be his job the health insurance won't kick in for 6 months.

That is why universal health care in the USA is so badly needed.

Peace

Jim

You go and hire an attorney, ASAP. Also, you can't force him to carry health insurance on the kid. I suggest you enroll the kid yourself. Medicaid may be an option if you meet the income requirements.

Just shoot the poor guy in the head and put him out of his misery, a man can only do so much, hard times befall all of us, it's better to owe you than to screw you out of it! Carry insurance yourself, he will be liable to refund you for it when he is able, cut the ignorant fool a break!
