don't look at the player out side the field.. that's not why people love him for.

yes he did f up his life to drugs and buzz. but that life
nobody is prefect he was ignorant kid with a 3rd grade education from some crappy town that knew how to play futbol, he didn't' know how to react to fame and tons of money, but for better or worst many players now use that as what not to do. i guess thanks to his mistakes other player don't make the same mistakes.

it's not like we "all say" he was god on the field with out anything to back that up with.
the way i see it ,it's like this .

what the player does on the field with he national team really matters, out side the field ,that his life .. not mine to judge or you ..... what have you done lately.....

is this question based on fact or on opinion?

The person above me is right. Messi is NOT from Central America.

If I had to pick one, he must have been from Honduras. During the early 80s, they were unstoppable and Maradona, for sure, had a chance to get to know them. [He even was thinking of coaching our team]. As a user said above me, Yearwood was our brightest. So I think it's him.

I think he once mentioned a Maravilla something, from El Salvador. But I am not sure. The one I admired was Cienfuegos, also from El Salvador. Very good player!

didnt' he say it on papers a while ago. Messi the man right?
but as mara said himself... he see a lot of him in messi. free spirited on the field, pint size, stout but pacy, likes to dribble, barca player, revels in cheating the game....

i just hope messi don't finish his career the same way....its one great thing to be compared to maradona the player but another to maradona the drunk dope.

Maradona was the greatest soccer player of all time.
