Special teams don't count.
I'd have to say WR on offense and CB on defense.

i have to go with full back and strong safety.

fullback are not used like they used to be.they a merely an additional blocker now .the position duties have changed big time.Larry Csonka was a fullback and used to carry 20 -25 times a game.

strong safety are used to cover the next least valuable position...tight end.there are about 5-6 tight ends that cant be covered by a athletic outside line backer with help from the weak safety.

It depends on the team. Different teams are runned differently and certain positions become more or less valuable depending on the coaches and coordinaters. Ask Peyton Manning how important he thinks WR's and TE's are and you'll get a very different answer than you would from Micheal Vick.

To make a broad spectrum statement for the entire NFL about how useless a position is - including special teams - is a pretty narrow view of football.

WR is the least valuable?? Do you mean extra WRs or just the 'wide receiver' position in general. If the first, yes, the third WR is not particularly important generally speaking, but if the latter, then you're out of your mind. Who else is the QB going to pass to, the tight end? THAT might be the least valuable position. Or the fullback.

are you for real CB?

wow and ask mike vick fans how valuable the think a reciever is.

It has to be a strong safety. If you have a dominate CB and dominate linebackers the ss could be your worst player on the field and you could still get away with it. If he sucked all you would have to do is play him 15-25 yards off the ball and he shouldn't ever get beat.

And anybody that says DT doesn't understand anything about football. WIthout good Dt's your linebackers will get beat down the entire game. Check the Bears in the Superbowl last year without Tommie Harris. The reason they lost the game wasn't because of Rex or Peyton's dominance it was all about the inability to stop addai(the real superbowl MVP) and the rest of the Colt's running game.

Tight Ends stretch the field and help to move the ball if they can catch. they are very valuable if you can find someone that is good at blocking and recieving.

This question makes no sense.... do you mean which position are there the most good players at so therefore the person in the position isn't as valuable? Do you mean which is the least productive? Which gets paid the least? Which is the least important to the success of the team?

I don't know that I would call any position least valuable. Every player on the field, offense and defense, are capable of making a big play, good or bad, that can win or lose the game.

every position is important to the team or it would not be a position. the only way a cb could be unimportant is if there were no wr's and there sure are a lot of wr's taken in the first round every year for it to not be an important position

I cant believe that people are saying tight end.I would rather lose a fullback ,than not to have a tight end.Think about what tight ends like Shannon Sharpe,Mark Bavaro,Antoino Gates, Tony Gonzolez ,do for their teams .The passing game has become real important to the NFL and with a good tight end you might be abled to stretch the field,so that running game can work.A good tight end is another element to becoming a good team.

I'd say CBs are huge. B/c they not only keep big plays from happening, but if they hold their good coverage, the line and linebackers will get more sacks. CBs do it all: tackle, cover, read, blitz. I'd have to say Guard on offense (although receiver is a good choice) and DTs on defense b/c they just clog holes.

Uh...Not WR...They are the focus of the passing game with the QB, duh...I think its FB or TE...No one really talks about the starting FB...The RB gets all the glory in the running game...and the TE is just a blocking receiver...Everyone knows about Shannon Sharpe(retired), Antonio Gates(best TE in the NFL, probably), and Alge Crumpler (Michael Vick's #1 target)...but you need an OLine and DLine, so I wouldn't say them...
