i tried but the cat's won't listen and the dogs would rather lick themselves...so i gave up

Sort of, It started with a squirrel. Then the cat that snuck up on the squirrel. Then the toy poodle that I let out the back door to save the squirrel from the cat. A great three-way brawl ensued, with the cat jumping the fence. The real diplomacy began with the angry neighbors. It was their cat. The little darling lost it's tail in the fight. Peace was finally negotiated between all parties. Although I was not a hit with the suggestion that I could glue the tail back on the wretched little beastie, and everything would be alright.-LOL,Rogue

I've tried to no avail. Try introducing an 80 lb Akita to 2 cats that are 13 years old and never seen a dog. The dog thought the cats were chew toys and the cats thought it would be a good idea to taunt the dog.

I own stock in Purina, so it's in my best interest to keep them at war over the food supply. It's true their respective worlds have disintegrated into chaos, and it's raining cat and dog corpses... but the bank account's still growing and that's the important thing, right?

When I bring a new pet home I introduce them to the others gradually, but they al get along well now, the dog stands still while the cats rub themselves underneath her belly.
