Let me see. The world has seen scenes of it (for the countries having South Park, that is). Do you know that Kenny died twice in the 1997 Halloween episode and did not die during the 1997 Christms episode (when Mr. Hankee made his first ever appearance)? Because I watched reruns of it on cable (and recorded it way back, then re-formatted to DVD in 2004)

Oh I know this one ;o)
Kenneth "Kenny" McCormick Kenny (created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone) is a hapless poor kid from South Park who meets his demise in some gruesome and amusing way and is then magically resurrected at the end of each show or in the next episode. His death is always followed by the exclamation "Oh my God, they killed Kenny!" followed by "Those bastards!" ;o)
The reason why Kenny died continuously it's because Kenny is poor. Others are aware of Kenny's deaths, but are quite nonchalant about them since they know he will re-appear in another episode.
In one episode, Kenny won a can of green beans for his family, though they could not afford a can opener. Cartman frequently exploits his poverty by offering him money for performing strange or dangerous tasks. This appears to be somewhat of a paradox at times, as he always manages to stay current with trends in toys and video games.
The phrase "Oh my God they killed Kenny" catchphrase was ranked # 35 on TV Land's Greatest TV Catchphrases and Quotes. It was here that Matt and Trey revealed that "they" and "bastards" were referring to themselves.
In the episode "In Sickness and in Hell" of the TV series Xena: Warrior Princess, Xena picks a louse from her hair and tosses it into the fire. In an almost inaudible voice, the other lice scream, "Oh my god, you killed Kenny! You Bastard!"
;o)

Kenny is poor thats y. If seen from a different angle then it kinda shows that chances for poor ppl are more when it comes to surviving and they have more chances than "others". South Park rulz!!!

Because they think killing him off for an episode will calm down everyone's b0ners but they can just go to another charactet like cartman to kill it. But then a second later it goes back to kenny and i ***...

its a running gag....a continuing theme in all the episodes. i think it is making fun of shows that just put graphic violence and death in their programs when it is not necessary. also killing kenny each episode and then bringing him back in the next show tells us it IS NOT REAL....IT IS JUST A SHOW!!!

I like it
It's the opposite of most tv,
where the good guy never dies, because he is the good guy
so you know they gotta keep him around
It's nice to see a good guy, who dies all the time for no good
reason
Instead of the good guy you know will never die, it's the good guy you know will always die - just for the sheer hell of it
I like it.
I don't let my kids watch it though

The creators thought it would be funny so they kept it up. They don't do it as much anymore since they brought him back from the dead.
