There are two that I would reccomend (that dont have Aluminum Sulfate, which are BAD chemicals) and that last a long time. One is Burberry (I know, but it is the longest lasting deodorant, not antiperspirant) and the other is Adidas Adrenaline.

Yes I started using deodorant when I was 8 because I would sweat alot and my mom told me if I didn't use it she would make me shower three times a day in the summer. I mean I was that bad so yes men's deodorant is just fine as there is non for young boys specifically. Get him some Right Guard or Old Spice he will like that.

RE:
Deodorant for Boys?
Are there any brands of deodorants made for boys? My son just turned 8 and already needs it. I haven't been able to find anything specifically for his age, or even for teenage boys. Is it safe to give him something made for men?

Grooming products for teenage boys is a new niche market and there are more and more brands available now. Your boy may not be a teen, but he apparently has a teenager's needs (can puberty be far behind for this early bloomer?).
Just search in your browser for "deodorants boys" for tons of references and intelligent articles on the subject and some commercial sites for particular products.
My recommendation is to avoid anti-perspirants, since they do more than add scent, they block perspiration, which may be too harsh for his tender skin.

There isn't any deoderant made especially for kids his age I don't think, but I think it would be all right if you give him something like Axe or Old Spice to use. Just make sure to read the label and check that it's just a deoderant and not an anti-perspirant since those contain ingredients that can harm and irritate him. Since he smells, he should be showering everyday, and you can try baby powder under his arms - it won't be as harsh as a deoderant.

I don't think there is anything specifically for boys. My 10 year old uses Axe. Just be sure to get the solid or he will be spraying way too much. I hope it is safe for the kids. My nephews have also been using it for a few years and they are 14 now.

My nephew needed it too at that age. Don't worry about the 'strength' If deodorant was dangerous to children there would be a warning label on it

They have a mitchum deodorant for males and females. Either one works really well.
