Imho, "Chico" is "Rico", with a somewhat nicer attitude. it's the same sort of silliness, but a tad less controversial. Rico/Chico don't really get under my skin.
as for retiring scren names, i don't think that's ever done. observe some of the users who appear daily with new accounts for the sake of....well you know!
