Yeah if the shirt was comfortable and fit properly I would buy it. You have to give everything a chance. You are 100% right that Polo and Lacoste were not popular at first. I suggest that you try and make your own shirt and see what happens. You never know if it will become even more popular than Polo. Here is my one suggestion:
I wouldn't make them very expensive. Try and keep them in the 20-30 dollar range. I think more people would buy them then.
What is your logo going to look like??
Good Luck!!!
Hope this helps => â¥

I don't wear polos, just because I feel like everyone who is trying to be popular, and everyoen who is popular, everyone who is a follower and doesnt have their own mind to go and buy clothes other than what everyoen else wears, wears polos. Not all the time, but most of the time. that and Hollister, abercrombie, american eagle, and aeropostale t-shirts.
But thats just for the middle-highschool era.
I'm sure that if I was an adult out of high school, I would consider wearing your clothing line. :) good luck.

yes i buy whatever style polo looks good on me in the colors that flatter my hair, skin and eyes...i have a bunch of polos from Burlington coat factory that the logo on the right pocket changes color depending on the color of the shirt (ex: my hot pink polo has a gold logo but the lime green polo has a pink logo) so i can dress it up with accessories that match the logo...i dont like abercrombie polos very much, LOVE aeropostale and american eagle but i look for fit over brand..if ur stuffs hot then ill buy it!! :)

These days the popular logos are a must have only if you are hanging around a wealthy crowd. I think ever college student or high school student would go for looks and comfort over brand name. So get to designing!! Business is all about marketing yourself!

I actually prefer non-name brand stuff, I have polos with weird things like owls, lions and tigers, so the logos don't really matter. What matters is the fit and the design of the polo itself. After that, there's not much else that's really important, so yes.

yup!
sometimes the best shirts are those without brand names.
just be sure to make the shirt really comfortable, and the logo should be cathcy and neat, and place in a different part of the shirt. the logo in the left breast area is so old.
also, try making shirts with really nice prints.
good luck!
update me if ever you did decide to make your polo!

I would buy it if I liked the logo and it was a comfortable shirt. I don't tend to worry about what NAME brand a piece of clothing is. I've never been worried about staying in style, so yeah, if it was comfortable and I liked it.
