5 coefficent of sqrt 2 * 2 coefficient of sqrt 18 - I can't figure how the process works with this. The answer is 60, but how was that done? I'd appreciate a demonstration. Thanks!

5 sqrt (2) * 2 sqrt (18) = 10 * sqrt (36) = 10 * 6 = 60

when multiplying radicals, mult. coefficients and mult. radicands (number inside)

Just multiply.

5 * 2 = 10. That's easy.

sqrt(2) * sqrt(18) = sqrt(36)
sqrt(36) = 6

10 * 6 = 60
