We are thinking about celebrating our 15 year ann. with a short trip. Maybe 3 to 5 day getaway. Just looking for ideas. We are in our mid 30's. and would like something to do that is kind of adventurous.

I love Manitou Springs, CO. It is right outside of Colorado Springs and only about 65-70 miles south of Denver at the base of Pike's Peak. It is a quaint little town with a little bit of a European look to it. There are nice B&Bs, not too expensive (check out Gray's B&B), several local artists' shops (clothing, blankets, knick knacks, etc) and a lot of attractions: Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Cliff Dwellings and a lot more.

Take a short flight down the Baja Peninsula and visit Cabo San Lucas. It's a beautiful place. My husband and I were just there. We are in our mid 30's. We stayed at the Solmar Hotel on the Pacific side. What a beautiful, romantic get-away.
Also, aren't there several islands right off of CA? The names escape me right now. I see about them on the travel channel. They look really fun and interesting.
Good luck! I hope you find what you're looking for and have a great time. Congratulations on your anniversary!

I love Estes Park, Colorado. It is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful lakes all around this mountainous community. Caters to visitors lots so theres plenty of great hotels / resturants / resorts / etc. You can be as adventurous / lazy as you want. I went white water rafting and climbing when I was there, as well as just sat around in the sun and went swimming. Something for everyone.

If only three days, go to Tombstone, AZ. If 5, consider going to Big Bend National Park (South West Texas) ir you like camping as there are no motels there. Check the NPS web site.

I live in Wyoming, and we have some pretty famous State Parks and camping spots.......I recommend going to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and staying at a Bed and Breakfast....its an amazing get-a-way for you two, and i think, if you love the outdoors and scenery, you would love it! Have fun....
