Because it does have a future. Mexico has a good league and a good national team and Canada has a decent national team that is improving. As for the US, the MLS is getting better. The US National Team has improved a lot over the past 20 years and will continue to improve. The sport is also growing in popularity in the US and Canada. What makes you think it has no future? There is nothing to support North America not having a future.
Oh and the Superbowl is NOT the most watched sporting event in the world. The World Cup is followed by the Summer Olympics. The Superbowl is probably the most watched sporting event in the US but not everybody watches it to see the teams play. A lot of people just watch it for the commercials which is very funny to me. lol

Let's see...
-It's profitable for every owner. (Baseball, Hockey, and Basketball SUPPOSEDLY can't claim all teams make money).
-It has the largest watched event worldwide (Superbowl)
-There is tons of action, and enough scoring to keep people interested (which is a killer to soccer and hockey)
-It's established.
-The short (16 game) season makes every regular-season game important...unless you're really bad.
-Teams go from bad to good very quickly because there is parity. Few teams can't say they weren't in the playoffs at least once in the last 5 years!
-The player's union is fairly weak, compared to the other leagues. For example, owners can sign a player to a long term contract, and only pay the signing bonus and the years they play. If someone gets injured--or is just bad--they can cut them. That keeps the money available to pay guys for their play...and keeps owners from losing more money. Basketball owners should DREAM of such a situation!
I think any sport would like to have those "problems."

Because football is the most popular sport in the world and North America should stop being ignorant and enjoy football just like the rest of the world.

I do because they being playing it for a short time. And they are progressing very nicely. People who being playing for a long time don't have nothing to show for it. And is a long list.
