A billion Muslims preach anti-Semitism as part of their faith.
In other societies, people are naturally suspicious of anything "different" or anything they don't understand.
Ruthless tyrants can pray on those suspicions for their own dubious benefits.
Ignorant people easily fall pray to prejudice.
The world is FULL of ignorant people.
Islam blames Israel for the hatred between Sunnies and Shites.
That hatred started 800 years ago
From the end of the first century A.D. until 1948, there WAS NO ISRAEL.
How can they blame Israel for that hatred?
Ignorance and stupidity coupled with religious bigotry and raising their children to HATE!

during early times, Jews dealt only with each other. They form close knit communities. Later, the Torah was translated and many Greeks/Romans/Egyptians read it.

Torah says that the Jews were the chosen people, and that there is only one God and other gods were false, other people thought they were very arrogant (this was the time when people believed in Zeus and Anubis).

Later when plagues strike, Jews were blamed as a scapegoat. Romans continued to slaughter many Jews. the CHristian sect Jews (Jesus and his followers were Jews) didn't want to be persecuted, so they made up some stuff that the death of Jesus was caused by Jews. Thats when the official split occured, that CHristians are DIFFERENT than Jews. After the establishment of a Christian kingdom, this belief was embedded in society already, so more perseuction of Jews continued. There were also a lot of negative stereotypes of Jews that were untrue which caused Muslims to dislike them as well

Envy. Despite being a relatively tiny population, they are renowned for being leaders in nearly every field. Look up the names of some actors and see. Ever heard of Quantum Mechanics? Who created it? RSA encryption? They are prominent in music, art and more. This doesn't mean some don't have problems with the politics of certain Jews or the behaviour of some of then, but by and large the Jews, as a group, could make almost any other group green with envy.

Many Jews also form rather closed communities with distinct customs which makes them easy to scapegoat when social problems arise, and they tend to be minorities and have few defences to fight back with.

I don't dislike them because I never know what it is like to have them around me. I think part of the problem is fueled by the news. So it is not a global problem. People who dislike the Jews seem to be mainly the Muslims but for me, it is different because of the reason which I have said and I don't allow any Tom, Dick and Harry to influence me.

I was born in Cardiff (Wales) so i always make the distinction between the countries. But since living in the us i have noticed that a majority of the people i talk to refer to the UK in general as England, as if its the only country there is. While talking to people, some have even argued with me saying Wales isn't a country but an island. To answer your other question. In my experience there aren't people who dont like the term UK, but i know i get annoyed with it because it seems they think the UK involved only England and not the whole United Kingdom.

Let's face it -- education and advocacy for the Jewish People and our historic ties to the Land of Israel, our biblical homeland, could be a lot better. Muslim fundamentalism is sweeping the Arab world, anti-semitism is rearing its ugly head in Europe and Asia, and so-called "peace" advocacy groups spread lies about us.
The internet has become fertile ground for these lies and hatred.

Whenever this question is asked I often see bible quoting or anti-Semitic comments by so called (Christians) and other groups. My parents came to this country from Puerto Rico during the depression years (1930s) I was born and raised in New York City, South Bronx. New York has besides other (race and ethnic groups) the largest Jewish population outside of Israel. So my experience with Jews, their history and culture which was positive and different from other communities around the U.S. The often bible quoting for the historical suffering of Jews is very misleading and untrue. This same type of rhetoric was used during the WW II by Hitler, which resulted in the Holocaust, one of the must tragic events in history. This same bible rhetoric was also used in America against blacks to reinforce and establish slavery (they are inferior etc.) a tragic event in American history with results that we are still dealing with today. Anti-semitism, racism, prejudice and all the other (isms) are a result of contempt. Contempt against other people different from you is very destructive because then one can mistreat, abuse or kill people (you relate from a level of unequal status, thinking you are superior) this has happened not only to Jews and other groups, but also in many of our public and private relationships. As individuals, we have to learn to build coalitions based on mutual interests, not on basis of race or color. The way for evil to triumph, is for people to stand by and do nothing.

In the biblical version this goes way back to when the jews crucified Jesus. "Let his blood be upon us and on our children." Matthew 27: 24-25. This means that the Jewish crowd in Jerusalem admitted full guilt for killing Jesus and thereby invoked God’s curse upon themselves and their descendants until the end of time. This cursed them and all the generations of their families this is why you see through history the jews always suffer.

Some jewish people espechially the hisidic jews, seem to be very anti-social. They usually dress in dark class all the time, and stay to them selves.
